How This Site Is Funded
Affiliate Disclosure
LizzBet earns commission from some of the links on this site. Here is exactly how that works, what it pays for and where it stops.
The Short Version
When you open a betting account through a link on this site, the operator may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing, your odds are not worse, and the bonus you receive is the same one you would get by typing the address directly into your browser. The payment comes out of the operator’s marketing budget, and you are not funding it in any form.
That commission, together with premium subscriptions, is what pays for this site. It covers the time spent building models, testing accounts, writing reviews and maintaining the results archive. Without it LizzBet would either carry advertising, sit behind a paywall or not exist, and of those three this is the least intrusive arrangement we could find.
Where You Will Find Affiliate Links
Commercial links appear in predictable places rather than scattered through the text, and they are marked in the page code so search engines can identify them. You will encounter them in these four contexts and nowhere else.
Bookmaker Comparison Tables
The Visit Site buttons beside each operator on the home page and the bookmakers page are affiliate links. The Read Review buttons next to them are ordinary internal links.
Individual Reviews
Each review carries links to the operator being reviewed, in the summary card at the top and in the verdict at the bottom.
Tip Pages
Where we name the sportsbook that offered the best price on a selection, that reference may be an affiliate link.
Promotional References
When we describe a specific bonus or offer, the link to claim it is commercial. The description of its terms is not sponsored content.
What the Commission Does Not Buy
This is the part that matters, and it is where most disclosure pages become vague. Every operator listed on this site has been tested with a funded account, real bets and completed withdrawals before appearing anywhere. Those tests produce observations that are either true or false regardless of who pays whom, and a commission cannot make a slow payout fast.
Our scores are built from four things: how quickly winning bets are paid, how competitively the operator prices the leagues we cover, how deep its football markets go and how it treats accounts that win. Every one of those is checked against a live account. When we write that a withdrawal cleared inside a day, it is because one of ours actually did.
We also publish the limitations. Crypto-only funding, thin coverage outside the major leagues, bonus terms that demand more turnover than most readers will produce. None of that helps conversion, and a page that only lists strengths is an advertisement wearing the clothes of a review.
The Conflict We Cannot Remove
Being straightforward about this is more useful than claiming a purity no commercially funded site can demonstrate. A financial relationship with the companies we review is a real conflict of interest, and no policy document makes it disappear. What can be done is to name it and work around it deliberately.
How We Limit It
- Every operator is funded and tested before it is listed
- Scores follow published criteria rather than commercial terms
- Limitations are stated as plainly as strengths
- Reader reports of poor treatment are investigated and acted on
- Commercial links are disclosed on the page they appear
What You Should Still Do
- Treat any recommendation as a starting point, not a verdict
- Check the operator is legally available where you live
- Read the bonus terms yourself before opting in
- Compare prices across more than one bookmaker
- Tell us when your experience differs from what we published
How Links Are Marked
Affiliate links on this site carry the sponsored and nofollow attributes in the page code, which is the standard method of telling search engines that a link exists for commercial reasons. This is not decoration. It is a requirement under Google’s guidelines and a signal we would rather send than have inferred.
You will also see an Ads Disclosure marker near any comparison table, which expands to a short version of this page. It appears next to the tables themselves rather than hidden in the footer, on the basis that a disclosure nobody encounters is not really a disclosure.
Common Questions
Does Clicking an Affiliate Link Cost Me Anything?
No. You receive the same odds, the same welcome offer and the same account terms as anyone arriving directly. The commission is paid by the operator from its marketing budget and has no effect on your account.
Do Higher Paying Operators Get Better Scores?
Scores are produced by the four criteria described above, all of which are checked against a funded account. Commission rates are not one of the criteria. We are also open about the fact that a commercial relationship exists, which is why we publish the criteria rather than asking you to trust the number alone.
Would You Remove an Operator That Pays You?
Yes, and the standard for that is the same as the standard for listing one. Sustained payout problems, systematic limiting of winning accounts or a pattern of credible reader complaints would take an operator off this site.
Are Premium Subscriptions Affected by This?
No. Premium is a direct payment from readers to us for longer analysis and wider fixture coverage. It carries no operator involvement of any kind.
Who Do I Contact About This Page?
Questions about our commercial arrangements, or about a specific link, are welcome through the contact page. We would rather answer them than have readers guess.
